Won't you know it, Kristi and Travis welcomed Chase into the World yesterday two days ahead of schedule. Mom and baby are doing well. Welcome to the land of poopie diapers and 2am feedings Trav! Lindi and I are both thrilled everything went well and that Chase has two great parents.
We are hoping to make a road trip today or tomorrow to go see the new parents and Chase, but with a new baby of our own, logistics can be a challenge. Nana K has offered to go with us and watch Parker in the waiting area of the hospital, since babies are not allowed in the rooms. Sure is nice to have grandparents close by.

Much Needed Sleep
Last night was wonderful. Parker woke to eat every three hours and he slept every minute in between. It's amazing what a little consistent sleep can do for you. Lindi and both feel so much better this morning. If we could get a few nights like that a week, we'll be in great shape.
Parker got his first bath yesterday and he did really well. He also was able to wear his first piece of Aggie clothing...a beanie. It's now his favorite hat.
We are taking Parker to the Dr. this morning for his first check up. Not having an appt., we could be in for a long wait.
Only two more days and Parker's friend (although he doesn't know it yet) Chase will be born. We thought for a few days that these two guys would be born on the same day, same hospital. Mother Nature changed all that, but how cool is it how close these guys were together. Now if only the White's would put in a pool, we could have a joint birthday party every year.

Late Nights, Loud Cries
So I guess everyone wasn't joking when they told us about get your sleep when you can get it...you are going to have some long nights. Parker has been real fussy since getting home from the hospital. He went from feeding every 2-3 hours to almost every hour recently. One minute he was sound asleep on my chest and the next he was screaming bloody murder! You just feel so bad for him when you see his lips quivering from crying so hard. So far crying means one of 3 things...a dirty diaper, it's time to eat, or he just wants to be held.

Home at Last!
We made it home! Thank the good Lord! Lindi's test results came back looking good, so we checked out around 2pm. Right now, Parker is asleep in the cradle my parents fixed up from when I was a baby. He is a great kid and we must be the luckiest parents in the world.
My figures are crossed the night goes well and we get a few moments of sleep.
Oh, and we have not been home but a few hours, and it is amazing how much smaller your house feels once you roll out the cradle, pack-n-play, etc.....

Go Home Day?
If all goes well, we should be going home today. Parker is doing fine and Mom is tired. Lindi was slightly anemic during the pregnancy and that has kept her very tired and light headed at times. Her blood work will be run today and if it comes back ok, we'll be on our way. Dr's orders are for her take it very easy over the next 2 weeks...man, right when I was getting use to her mowing the lawn! Keep Lindi and Parker in your prayers.
Dad hosted a few guests last night...thank you to everyone that came out to see us.

Future Aggie
Parker is Here!
Parker joined us at 6:01 pm
He is 8lbs 6.6 oz ...20 1/2 in long. He is a big boy!
Mom and baby are doing well. Parker is being watched for the next 6 hours b/c he had a bit of a breathing problem. Dr's say not to worry and he was breathing completely normal before he even made it to the nursery. We are going to check up on him around 8pm and expect everything to be fine.
8 CENTIMETERS AND COUNTING
Labor is progressing fast...they have prepped the room and the nurses seem to be moving around a bit quicker now. Now if I can only find a place to setup my video camera...
Today is the Day!

3 days to Go?
The "official" due date is June 25th and is fast approaching. Lindi has a scheduled Dr's appt on June 24th and has already scheduled an ultrasound appt on Friday, June 26th. Who knows what could happen between now and then, but the Dr is hinting that we have a good chance of going past the scheduled due date. If so, the ultrasound will be looked at to see if there is reason to speed up the process and how quickly. We are both as ready as you can get, but my money says he isn't planning on showing up until next week...

First Child, First Blog...
Lindi and I are not the most tech savy, but we thought this would be a great way to share information with everyone.
We are only days away and it's getting exciting around here. Stay tuned...more to come.
